Terrifier 3 (2024)
December 9, 2025
He’s back and better than last time. Art the Clown returns to wreak havoc on the Christmas season. What should be a time of joy ends up being a bloody mess once again. We continue to follow Sienna from the previous film as she tries to return to her normal life and connect with her family. Unfortunately, Art just can’t let that happen - and he continues to hunt Sienna and splatter her Christmas lights with gore. In my previous reviews, I have made it clear that I am not a superfan of this franchise - that said, I think this one is the best of the three.
I will always give this franchise its flowers for incredible practical effects - Vicky’s prosthetics in particular are actually chilling. I also think the comedy lands a lot better in this film - it felt like there was actual comedic timing, not just “tee hee look how gory!” I also like that they took on a different holiday; obviously, Art got his start on Halloween, but I enjoyed Christmas as the backdrop for the film.
As always, this film is incredibly gory and disturbing, and I don’t recommend it unless extreme horror is something you can handle. The movie has some pretty Christmas decor; however, that is subverted by all the blood and guts, so please check trigger warnings online if you think this movie might be too intense.
Holiday rating: 4 Christmas trees (it’s set during the holiday, but the gore kind of ruins the Christmas cheer)
Available on: Tubi, Amazon Prime, Peacock
